For
more than 40-years, Italian Shipbuilder VERSILCRAFT has been
at the forefront of the European motor yacht design. Based
in the heart of the Italian yacht building in Viareggio, VERSILCRAFT
has steadily evolved its style to meet the demands of an increasingly
exclusive market. Extensive technical and design experience
gained in the last century is powerfully represented in the
company's stable of vessels, from the new Planet series evolved
the 87', 93', 105', 110', to the unveiling of the 112' in
2005.

natural evolution of previous models, the 110' is
a stunning example of Italian craftsmanship constructed
with the very latest technology of shipbuilding with
a special accent of modern sound insulation and delivered

of this Italian Viareggio yard of distinction.

The
Planet model line offers outdoor living areas that include
generous main aft deck cockpit space that is well sheltered
from the elements by the overhang of the sun deck above. Two
stairways lead down to the bathing platform from where the
crew can access the garage storage for the tender and watersport
equipment so vital for the active fun-in-the-sun lifestyle
that the Planet series so aptly provides for the chic Mediterranean
and worldwide yachting community.
The
planing hull design of the Planet series provides the great
ability to remain on plane even at the lowest speeds; offering
expanded cruising ranges on all models. Upon documented sea-trials,
printed reviews show that the hull bottom operates well within
its lines with the stern well-positioned to absorb and cut
through both inherent chop and the highest waves. This ability
to handle well in all conditions guarantees comfort onboard,
and assurance of a hull masterfully designed. This excellent
result for fuel economy and comfort is due to the fact that
the yard has worked in close collaboration with designers
CLN Naval Technical Studio in Viareggio, well known for their
reliability and expert design for the largest vessels. In
addition, VERSILCRAFT and the designer have carried out numerous
condition simulations in the hull testing facility in Vienna.
The
one very noticeable difference between this design and similar
contemporaries in the market, is the sheer quiet at running
speed that is evident at cruising in the Planet model series
vessels, while handling the seas in a very stable and confident
manner … again, nearly perfectly soundproof. As well, the
credit goes to the yard, which has spared no expense in researching
the best soundproofing materials on the market approved for
use in harsh marine environs.
There
is little doubt that the VERSILCRAFT Planet series of motoryacht
vessels will be favorably compared to by lovers of oceangoing
yachts as a yard of exceptional quality providing models that
